good to see ya back man. well , the colors are great. the concept is really cool. the outcome , im not really liking. the right side looks over manipulated in my eyes, the text needs tons of work, way over done. also ditch the border. other than that its a 5/10. fix it up and ill re rate it.

The current avatar and sig are the very first ones I have made. I know it looks noobish, but that is because I haven't yet figured out all of the tools and effects of photoshop.

Pretty cool. I like the composite and the liquid flame. The lighting effects are good as well. Where is your focus point though? When I look at this, my name isn't drawn to your name, it is first drawn to the liquid flame in the middle. In any case, I rate it 7/10. Good job.

Bounda - Text needs work and should stand out more, To "grainy". I dont really know what to say about this sig, I dont see anything that is like WRONG with it... just really plain to me. 6-7/10
Don't be afraid to use tutorials either. Thats what they are for, to be used. Those who say that tutorials are for newbs are retarded. They are to learn. Keep practicing and remember to use tuts ^^

Sorry, my drawing and design class is really starting to affect the way I look at art. Lemme try again:

When I said composite, I meant how you blended the images and layers. Lighting effects, I meant how certain light sources fall on certain things. Also, when I said focus point, I meant what the eye is drawn to when someone looks at the picture. If you want people to notice your name first, then make it bigger. Otherwise their attention is first going to be drawn to the middle of the picture.

its nice devine. the edges of the "render" could use some blending though. they are a bit pixelated. 8/10. its also a bit to duotoned for my tasted... but to each their own i supose. i dont care for the text style either. could be made a bit larger .


zero. try using the Image > apply image> first make a new layer and place that image on it. repeate the process using several diferent layer settings under the blending mode option then use a low opacity low fill rate eraser to erase the image that is applied slightly.do this to all the layers you want to change. remember in the bending modes the lighten palets are used to give light sources and brighten it up. the darken and multply pallets are used for shadows. use more bluring of the edges. get a lot more layers in there. ease up on the copy. it clashes. make things blend more. if you need help or have questions i would be happy to answer them.

You need some brushes (so that you can give it a background) need to really get some tuts so that you can learn all the tools

But other wise its a good start.. avatar is nice... also you need a border around you sig

That's pretty cool. How do you download the brushes from diviant. I tried finding the grunge brushes in your tut but said they didn't have them. Also, can I save the brushes to my flash drive and just load them when I use the schools macs? They have a downloading and installing policy.
