I think I already sent you credits for mirage, and I'll send you 25 more if Kyle applies and is accepted. Also, we've added a Casino system that will go public soon enough. It's another way to spend some credits . I also just did a major update with the thread itself, since I went and reposted it on diabloii.net, and had elly edit it for me on diablo2.com. Chances are, we'll be seeing even more people joining up now.

Also, I haven't seen you on the forums lately. Where've you been hiding?

Meh, class and projects. Plus mid-terms. Aghhh, I'm ready to strangle my Drawing and Design instructor, really, it's coming. I'll stop by. I don't go there much because it doesn't seem very active.

I don't know who you're kidding with that 'active' comment. We're no blizzsector, but there are no less than 100 posts a day.

My C++ midterm was murder. Instead of a C++, I ended up getting a plain C. I really should have studied for it.

Either way, as more people join up, we'll obviously become more active. I'm certainly not going to hound people to visit the forums - it's totally up to them if they want to or not, as long as they stop by semi-frequently to let us know they're still alive.

I stopped by yesterday. I don't know, there doesn't seem to be many interesting topics. I'll start stopping by though.

I got a 93 in my CS-2 class and a 96 on my portfolio project today.

Nice. I'm really trying to apply myself more, and not spend so much time on the forums.

Also, if there aren't too many topics that interest you, why not post up a few of your own? You get two credits instead of one for starting topics now. Not that it's 'about' the credits or anything, but a little bit of incentive never hurt anyone.

Click the link under either one of our names. The first link will take you to our home page. Second link directs you here so that isn't of much use to you any more. At the home page register for an account. You must be an active member of at least one of the games this clan represents. Hotshot will go over your application. Shouldent' take more than a day or two depending on how busy he is.

Hey, tell kyle to fill out the application. I try to make it so incredibly obvious that people are supposed to fill out an application if they want to join, but I get lots of people every single day that register a forum account and don't fill out an application. I even get people telling me that they expirience problems with the site. "It's your fault, not the site's!"

Of course I don't really say that. I understand that some people have trouble reading stuff that's right under their nose. I even made some of the text in red. Do I have to increase the font size before people finally understand? Come to think of it, that's not a bad idea.

Kyle is like on a family vacation right now. He said he would fill one out when he gets back.

For stuff like help files for new members, I would make the links bigger, red, and underlined. Maybe even put something about applying before you register on the front page.

Which help files do you mean, specifically? I've already tried to make it as obvious as possible that people are supposed to apply through the main site, but I'm always looking for ways to make it even more blindingly obvious as long as it doesn't actually start becoming annoying for people who 'got it' the very first time I told them.

I would suggest making it a requirment to become accepted into to clan and be active in at least one of the clan games to have access to the site and forum.

At present, people who wish to use the forums are required to actually be in the clan to post there, etc. Guests also can't see about 1/3rd of the forums - mostly the clan-related ones, as well as the ones that discuss strategy and contain guides, etc.

Are you suggesting that I make the board inaccessable for everyone who hasn't logged in? I don't know, I kind of want to have people actually be able to see some of the forums and to figure out if we're the kind of people they want to hang around with.

Guests with limited access is good. But I thought you didn't have to be part of the clan in order to join the forums.

Send me a copy of the application that is required to be submited, and I will go over it and add/subtract what I think is needed.

You can see the application by going to Clan GIS - Apply to GIS, and clicking on the 'application' link. I've been thinking of making some changes to it as well, so if you have any input, I'd appreciate it.

Also, you should go give the hell reaper thread a rating of 1 (giving them a 3 average). When I saw someone rate a thread further down here, I was like "OMG! I forgot you could rate a thread!" and pulled the cheap old 'rate your own thread a 5' trick. Actually self-rating can and should be turned off in the admin control pannel, but nobody seems to bother with that. Anyways, the funny thing is that as I was trying to give this thread a 5, I accidentally somehow ended up being on their page and 5ing it. X_X
