Okay guys, we've decided to liven up the Graphics and Art thread. So we're introducing an art contest, with a prize of 1500 points to the winner. The rules are as follows:
o1: The artwork can be of anything you like, provided it is your own work.
o2: It must b no more than 500x500 pixels in size.
o3: Don't post anything we would be forced to delete (nudity, drugs etc).
Everyone is welcome to enter, and we (myself, Nubli and Farah) will all name our favourites on May 11th. In the event of all of us picking a different piece of art, Spitfire will choose from the three.
If you wish to enter, please just post our artwork in this forum, along with any feeling, or emotion behind the piece. You may use the file upload facility on d2sector to host your work, but if you can't get this working, email me ([email protected]) and I will host it for you. Feel free to comment/worship but don't let this turn into spam, as all the moderators will be watching this one closely. Hope to see lots of artwork from you guys soon.

I think just one piece each, so as to take it even. You could however change your piece at a later date if you think it's needed.

This sounds a little like my art contest I proposed about 2 weeks back.... >_>, Well anyway. I am working on something right now, can it move and does it have to be any specific kilobytes or whatever?

We may of taken the idea from you then. Yeah animation is fine, size isn't really a problem, just don't go nuts.

Ok, The picture I just made just saved as 3400x5600 >_>....., I got it resized. Farah has already seen this picture, but I never finished it either, I am just gonna post it up for no apparent reason.. But this is something of what I am gonna use for the competition, but I need to finish it up soon.

This is my picture of a comet >_>, doesn't look that way yet, but it'll eventually get moving with some stars maybe. I only wish I could work in layers >_>....make things LOADS easier.

the picture looks more of like..a sun behind a bunch of dark clouds...the picture looks tight tho

art..... defined as..? because i'm more of they pencil/ink artist myself... the definition kinda goes down the shitter depending on the scanner, but what about that? is this restricted?

i dont think its restricted. the forum is graphics and art, and drawing is an art, so go for it.

sweeeeeet.... will our pics be put on public display on the forums? or are you guys just going to review em? the only probelm i think will be size.... but hey, we'll cross that bridge when we get there... or something like that.

They are just gonna be publically challenged.. and reviewed by the judges as needed. (I.E. If the picture is to vulgar or something.. You know.
