Account hacking

A "friend" on b.net told me that hes account got hacked.

This scares me off, but i want to know how people can do this, and in wich way you can protect yourself versus it.

Use a good firewall and virusscanner in the first placel. Second of all make sure you download all your "hacks" from websites where they are varified. If you download your stuff at d2sector you probably won't get hacked (I've scanned almost everything here).

And I'm sure your friend didn't secure his computer enough to prevent getting hacked.
