maybe he bought it for $800 in a used car parking lot [like a smart person Smile ] and is installing the rest of the stuff himself. it saves you money, but cost time.

I have the choice of either a free 84 toyota pickup truck [little dinky thing] or 2 used car parking lots in town. i just want a car with good mileage like a prius, but those damn things cost $20k and don't look that good =\. my mom has a 2003 prius and she gets gas like once or twice a month. so nice.

I would take the pickup truck for highschool, but if you need a chick magnet you might need a decent car..

yeah im goin into 11th grade and im gettin this old hoopty pickup... had like 3, a new roof, engine tune ups, new bumper, and other stuff in its 21 year lifetime. not a chick magnet, but it will get me around. the only thing i dont like about it is that it's smaller than the average truck. think of a compact tacoma or something... its about 5 feet high or something. its so old that has the orange 55 mph marking on it cuz back in the day, 55 mph was the max in the US.

I live in a hilly area. Slamming any baby here on its *** means careful driving. There are school busses that scrape their bottoms on this one road daily after school, and they have plenty of clearance. the road has like 1-2 inch wide gashes that run 2-3 inches deep Smile

I picked it up for 2400 usd. I have the headlights, bumper, etc installed now. it has 21000 miles on it, its a 1996 honda prelude VTEC. Ive spent 1000 on it, another 400 for paint, and im done. so 3800 bucks for a car worth 12000. neat huh?
