hes got part of it right.
first the game chooses an item to drop....(bow,sword,mace,helm)
next it chooses the type (norm, elite, exceptional)
then it chooses the quality
first it rolls unique depending on the bow class. (say wf is 2)
then it multipies ur mf with the bow class (say ur mf is 250 or 2.5)
2x2.5=5% chance to be unique
next if it isnt unique then it rolls for set (i.e set is 4)
4x2.5=10% chance to be set
then it chooses to be rare (i.e rare is 12)
12x2.5=30% chance to be rare
finally it chooses magical if all other chances fail.
note:if the item rolled cannot be a set item...... it will just go down to the lower lvl
