If you dont have a fixed ip or static ip you can do it a couple ways

Dsl unplug modem leave it off for 2 minutes turn back on that resets your dynamic ip

type in ipconfig/Renew in msdos cmd prompt resets your dynamic ip

Cable = your stuck with it call your isp to get a new ip but I doubt they will do this everytime you get a r/d
