I wouldn't be suprised if you can up a wirts leg.uh, its prolly deleted by now, but i actually did that very thing then posted my results on this site. aight i found it, if its cool i'll repost it here.

Hey all! I was bored, so I decided to test this theory out. The results were astonishing, eye-boggling, and even surreal. Ok, it wasn't that exciting. Hopefully it's ok that I have these pics on here that may be kind of big, but its a one-time thing. So i went out and picked up wirt's leg with a SP trappassin of mine. I then imbued it to make it a rare wirts leg, which can be seen as one of the attachments.I was supprised it had the +1 barb skills on it, as this was norm difficulty i was doing it on. I then gathered the materials needed to make an item to an exceptional rare item from a normal rare item: an ort rune, an amn rune, a p. saph, and the rare wirts leg. when i hit transmute, i was supprised. it was not a greater wirts leg that was made, rather it was a hand axe! (see picture at end). i did not test it to make that hand axe exceptional, but i don't think it would change back to a wirts leg, i think it would just go to a tommahawk, or whatever the exceptional form of the hand axe is. It was fun to test though.
