Too Much Of A Good Thing
Who to go to? What to say?
How to make things better?
One woman won't talk, one woman won't listen,
Neither will acknowledge my letter.
One man, two girls, the girls best friends,
Driven apart by a selfish boy.
The man loved one, but the boy liked another,
Though only to make her a toy.
Love-sick not, but want-sick plenty,
He needed the play of two.
But in the end he wholly got neither,
And that is a story true.

Unclaimed Fear
Panic and a sense of urgency.
No goal, no one to lull you to sleep,
But going itself an emergency.
Laying awake in the night,
Chest pouding, heart racing, head chasing,
Swimming after the cause of your fright.
Drowning in the sound of the pounding,
Echoes resounding and bouncing off the walls,
The halls get longer, the paths get thinner,
Fear has you now,
Fear is the winner.
Succumb to it's seductive grasp,
Give in cuz you can't last,
The unknown closes in too fast to escape.
It's a mistake, never close your eyes again,
Not unless you wanna feel demise again,
Or unless this time YOU play to win.

Burn the Box
You feel with what they've left you,
You're looked down on,
But they don't understand you.
You're made fun of,
But no one stands up for you.
So you know what you've got to do--
You've gotta stand up for yourself,
Be you and silence the condescendance.
You've gotta make the mold melt,
Snuff their light-
Use your natural phosphoresence.
Be strong, don't put up with their nonsense,
Silence their voices if they persist.
They're right is used in the wrong sense,
So go with your flow and don't resist.

White Noise
Life is Love-
It's hurt and it's hate.
Take it all in stride,
Because there is no "Fate."
You make who you are,
You make all the choices,
Those who try to change you
Should be background noises.
You make your own life,
You mold your own destiny.
Society's ambience
Is just a test to me.
They'll shout and they'll push,
And they'll make you fall.
Pick yourself up
Answer your own call.

Slumber
Shadows fall and take the world
As sunlight dries to cause night to unfurl.
Skies empty to expose the stars,
Blindingly bright, but they're just too far.
Silently resting, a doe and her faun,
Habitual fatigue now that the day is gone.
The trees surrounding whisper secrets,
No sleep there- the forest never rests.
Always awake, even when the wind is gone-
From dawn 'til dusk and dusk 'til dawn.
Brightly upon them shines the full moon,
Lessening the effect of the darkness cocoon.
Stars spin effortlessly in the sky
While the world sleeps and time flies by.
The sun comes back and night washes away,
Bird songs at dawn herald the new day.
The silken threads of the cocoon dissolve,
The world wakes up and the Earth revolves.

Boredom
Standing, staring silently,
Seldom blinking for fear of sleep,
Seductive smokey haze pulls my consciousness away.
Still I stand, standing still,
Secluded mind in a crowded room,
Searching so unrelentingly
For answers without questions.
