put the window cd in the cd tray and close.
restart computer.
enter BIOS. its either F2 button or esc key or delete key after it posts. it could be any of those depending on the bios used on the comp
go to the section where it allows you to select where it loads from.
change it so it loads from cd.
from there it should give you options to choose and simply choose to reformat.
once done reformatting it should ask how many partitions you want the drive in. (really only do this if you plan to have both windows and another OS on the comp and want to dual boot. for the most part partitions arent needed just make folders instead)
after that it should being the windows (98,2k,XP) install sequence.
