How would I know how much my BIOS can register? And what about IDE and SATA?
On boot up it should say the name and version of your bios at the top just write it down and then google it.
IDE and SATA are different hard drive interfaces. The main difference beyond price is the data transfer speed. Just make sure to buy an IDE hard drive and if you can not find one at the store ask someone there to show them to you.
