Baseball is a dying sport because of the lopsidedness. Look at all the teams with poor ticket sales throughout baseball. When they show baseball highlights on ESPN, I see a lot of empty seats. Chris Bergman says, "back, back, back." The ball lands into no man's land, and no one even bothers running down the ball for a souvenir. LOL. It's only a matter of time until baseball is reduced to a handful of teams.
In contrast, the reason why football has become so popular is because of team balance. Look at all the different Superbowl winners in the past few years. The "dynasties" are gone. Football fans all over now have hope. As long as this balance remains, the expansion teams will keep rolling in.
