Rita downgraded to Category 4
Winds still at VERY HIGH Cat 4 at 150 mph, just 5 mph shy of category 5.
It will make landfall early Satueday
Mostly, Katrina and Rita have been very pwoerful and its seperation was only 4 weeks.
Scientists are studying these hurricanes that it may have to be due to global Warming since these 2 storms r so strong. No1 nos yet, but mostly all hurricanes that strenthen on the Gulf of Mexico is likely to become the most powerful Hurricanes unlike Ophelia, is was only Cat 1. So far, Rita is confirmed to be the 18th Storm of the Atlantic Hurricane Season. Hurricane season doesnt end until November so hang in there!
