well, katrina hit new orleans and not LA
and i understand the pressures of being the president. ill bet anything that it's a hard job being the most powerful man in the world. the problem is that he seems a little bit dim. especially in the delay of aid to katrina victims thought he was quick to send troops to stop looting. however, people would rather have martial law and be fed than to not be shot yet starve to death. also, new orleans has always been under threat of hurricanes and flooding. they have had many false alarms so it is somewhat understandable that they didnt quite believe this one. finally, i dont think rebuilding is their main concern right now. these people have lost absolutely everything but their lives. they are just trying to survive now. what use is rebuilding new orleans when there is no market for anything?
