True, true sorry for going off topic. It's just that people who have no idea about making money are making statements it this thread how rich people should not be allowed to keep their money and it should be given away to charity just because they have earned it through e.g. singing.
I wouldn't put Celebs into the list of 225 mentioned by Frogman. Currently there are 691 billionaires in the world, most Celebs have a couple of million and that's it. I also don't agree with the statement that the top 225 people are spending money recklessly. Reckless spending means spending money without any concept of reality, kind of like the easy come easy go way. The top 691 on the other hand can spend masses but they also make masses at the same time, Celebs tend to spend themselves into bankrupts. Now that's reckless spending.
Celebs have been long known for making outrageous statements. The way how an average westerner spends his money has almost no effect on any of the third world countries. It's a load of bull to state that the contrary. What does have an affect though is whether the top 691 people or major companies are going to invest into those countries.
Managers are always telling them stuff to say to make them stand out from the rest and hence make more money. They are also in the position to say "good" things in public because they are major public figures hence the name celebrities. I wouldn't pay too much attention to celebrities though they are just puppets.
