Since you mentioned a boat, I take it you are Alliance:
Go to Menethil Harbour in the Wetlands (From Ironforge travel through Loch Modan to get to the Wetlands). From there, you can go to Auberdine (near Darnassus, recommended for lower level players) or Theramore Isle (which is in the middle of the right continent, east side, and is located in a lvl 40-44 area. It is possible to walk through it on a lower level though, as I did with my Warlock on lvl 17

If you are Horde:
Take the Zeppelin from the Undercity to Ogrimmar
