I have a friend in my guild who is gay, and when he tells me to stop using "fag" or "gay", even in non-bashing ways, I listen to him because I respect him so much.
These people that call people a ****ing faggot after they've been asked nicely not to are the reason why "fag" and "gay" have been blown out of proportions as words in this country today. I used to think that it was okay to say "fag" and "gay" because homosexuals needed to get over it, but I've finally come around to thinking that it just isn't right. I wouldn't want to be discriminated against because of my religion (or lack thereof.)
Blizzard just doesn't seem to understand that homosexuals should have the same right of free assembly (or whatever you'd consider a guild) as people that like using the Hunter class, or are between 18 and 28 or whatever, and that needs to change. They're just spitting out excuses to be sexist, I think.
