I myself got a new custom made computer this year, and recently i bought a few things from tiger direct for it. thing about a new computer is you can use your old computer parts in it too, like your hardrive. If you plan on downloading a lot of music, like I do... then get a new hardrive, but if you're not big on illegally downloading then a 35-40 gig hardrive, or even 2 different hardrives from old computers, and they should work fine, and there is about 50$ off your bill anyways. ehhhhh i bought a DVD writer and a mic and a headset, but anyways... things i suggest, not for chips, but just for your "semi-gaming" computer, I'd say get a mic, for most first person shooter games, get some headphones, get a dvd writer, because you can just save so much information on a dvd drive ( i got mine on tigerdirect for 40$, and 50 dvd-r's for 10$ + S&H) and another drive, probrably a cd-rw drive. you're gonna want a nice graphics card, i have a 256 radeon (forgot other specifics) and a 2.8 ghz pentium 4 chip with hyper a hyperthreading chip, and an intel made motherboard, which makes everything fit together, only 528mb ram though. anyways, it's a nice quick computer and it fits all games ive played have run well, im not saying to buy a computer like mine, im just saying... i don't know what im sayting, im just rambling cause im bored and watching T.v.
