I've kinda calmed down on gaming (don't have the money or interest to dump into a beefier machine) over the past five years, and found I had a big relapse in old gaming. I was digging through demo discs and old old programs and found a few jewels that I wasted countless hours on!
The Rocket Jockey Demo .. An odd game where you straddle what looks like a rocket with a saddle and have grappling hooks that fire off the sides at a 45 degree angle. You used those to turn corners (without them the rockets cornered very poorly) and you could also grapple onto other rockets, or even the jockeys! I wasted hours and hours snatching jockey's off their rockets and tying them to poles, and then mercilessly ramming them with your rocket..
KKnD stands for Krush Kill N' Destroy.. A C&C spinoff which pitted post-apocalyptic suvivor mutants against normal humans. Had a certian charm about it, complete with poor acting in the inbetween mission briefings.
Carmageddon & Carmageddon 2 .. man these games were fun, I fired up Carma2 last night and had a blast. Ramming other cars, running over pedestrians, general meyham. The funnest feature was the ability to rewind and replay your most recent pedestrian kill.
Unfortunately none of these games were working on XP so I had to fire up the ol' non-SE Win98 with a P900 and a voodoo3 PCI card (quite the machine back in the day).
Anyways anybody else have some fond PC titles they find themselves going back to time after time? And don't say Diablo 2.
