Hey, I'm back after my banning. From the impression that I get, in the meantime, this thread has gone downwards. I mean what the hell does Star Trek have to do with something that in my opinion will be a key issue in the coming decades? Anyway, here we go.
Dude, I'm sorry, but tanks were not invented before the First World War. Napoleon invaded Russia around 1810, if I'm not mistaken. WWI lasted from 1914-1918. Yes, the cold did kill Napoleon's soldiers, but not only. His army was also constantly being ravaged by Cossacks (irregular cavalry, kind of guerilla warfare), lack of supplies (scorched earth policy), and inadequate preparation (Napoleon's ego). I did Napoleon for one of my history modules at school, so please don't dispute this unless you have a credible arguement.
Russia does not have the organization required to govern itself, not speaking of the entire world.
Oh yeah, I forgot that America's doesn't, right? Right.
That's true. In some companies, they even have entire departments dedicated to research in creating products that work at 100% at first, but then wear down, so that you would go out and buy a new one.
Also, beforehand, someone mentioned that army size does not matter. Of course it does, how do you think Russia won the WWII?

I also forogt to mention that besides the fact for being only able to be invaded from their south side, their climate would make it hard to invade them at all. When Napolean invaded russia his tanks froze and prevented thier advance if i'm not mistaken.

And people from the north(mongols 1500-1600's) have managed to conquer china from the north before.
