I think I got it, with Onlyers...
1 Extract the entire d2-cdkey.zip into its own folder.
2 Copy the cdkey.mpq into your Diablo II folder.
3 Right click on the auto-cdkey.reg and choose edit.
Modify the entry to look like this
4 Save the file. Right click on auto-cdkey.reg and select Merge
5 Set the target of one of your desktop shorcuts as I instructed earlier. The shorcut with the addition to the target will run with your extra set of keys. The other will run with your old ones.
