well usually id flame at u for not postin in the showoff thread, but my warnings are too high and Platinum really likes to warn me 
so instead ill just judge ur sig!!
Although most people's firsts suck, mine was probably my best.
For your first, that is indeed impressive, If i were you I would try to find a better font than that, make the text smaller. Add a bit of 'whitness' into the darker spots, so as to make a 'depth' effect
if u have time it would be cool if u added a border and maybe make a bit of 'grain' effect onto the edges of the render (but thats a bit complicated)
