howdy all,
just read this post and figured i might as well add a little bit to the bonfire. i don't know anything about the pentagon, but one fact about 9/11 cannot be disputed, and that is the existence of NORAD.
for those of you that don't know, NORAD is (was) a state of the art fortress built to withstand a direct nuclear impact. although it was never fully capable of doing so it can defend itself against a near hit. the entire base is set in a colorado mountain and the entire base rests of a spring loaded chassis. (very huge springs btw, hehe)
the point is, since NORAD isn't such a great defense against nuclear weapons as the govt. hoped it would be, it's main function now is to be a command center that the air force uses to track every, EVERY, single moving object in the US's airspace. it is FULLY capable of doing so and does it every second of every day and has been doing so for decades.
also, since the 80's, when airline hijackings became a sort of popularity for terrorists EVERY SINGLE passenger plane in america (and probalby all 1st world countries) have sensors that emit an emergency signal when or if they vear off course, even a little.
there is know ****ing way in the world that NORAD did not know about the planes leaving their projected course and also predicting their new destinations. flying a jumbo jet isn't like driving a car. you pick a route and stick to it. there are several air force bases around the north eastern area of the US that have f-16s on standy that could've been scrambled in less that 5 min! this is standard procedure, nothing more.
if anyone anywhere can dispute this i would love to hear it.
