Merc- Act 2 merc thats a defence one and give him bramble armour, Hand Of Justic weapon or any other one with a Aura "DON'T USE DOOM!!" the holy freeze will make them cold and when you kill them they just burst so you cant use corpse exploshion or summen. Dream helm. With this build i got my necro at 2k+ health and could solo hell all but diablo's minions... and Iron maiden people 50% confused: 50%. You can own all of the major people in the game with your golem manly he will get about 26k healthsmartass2 around there. By Hex amu you mean Curses? Use +3 Summoning instead, if not using Mara.
I believe that more than 1 point in any curse is a waste, so I would not invest more than that in that area.
Instead of Defiance merc, use Might merc, raises skeleton damage considerably.
Hoj is pointless for a merc, at level 20, Holy Fire only adds about 300 fire damage into each attack (unless you are going to bug him), it does not boost party damage, and it's area damage is neglible.
If you are going for pure summoner, instead of curses, you might as well max out skele mages and Bone Armor. Just a suggestion. I think that skills in that area are better spent than in Curses.
Also, it's quite fun to use Azurewrath as your main weapon. Only +1 skills, but the aura will keep the undead at bay. Probably socket it with a -req jewel though...
