This goes back to 1.10 patch, me and a friend had the best PVP Sorc PvP Character on USWest Lad
If you remember Vash.T.S or LegatoDemon you might know the character.
First of all, the thing about an Energy Shield sorceress is the mass consumption of damage into mana to save your ass and deflect it. The backdraft is it takes in most melee damage, less magic by a lot
(Tip to beat the magic later)
If you get this build right, ES will be at capped 97 Absorb(you take 3% damage and into mana only)
Major Skills: 20 skill each
Lightning (Main attack skill)
Charged Bolt (Fun bolts!)
Telekenisis (Synergy and better bonus to ES)
Nova (Godly and fun ring of lightning ownage, gets really high and better then chain)
Lightning Mastery (Damage)
Tip: The last skill to max should either me Nova or Bolts, I prefer Bolts last, Nova's funner to use and a lot nicer in fast casting ownage ^^)
Minor: 1 skill each
Static Field (Weakens in PvM)
Chain Lightning (Useless skill for ES or any light sorc, it's weak)
Energy Shield (Your main armor)
Teleport (Travel and PvP skill)
Frozen Armor (Freezes enemies that touch you, adds defence)
Warmth (Mana regen on a better level)
The reason you max Telekenisis is it's bonus to ES, ES alone just wastes skills well per each few levels on Telekenisis it's about +5 ALWAYS to ES so you can cap 97 absorb
Gear:
Griffon Eye w/ 5/5 light Die (Lightning damage) Use a higher Sorc helm for ES if you need
Trang-Oul gloves (FCR)
Perfect Magi(35 resist all) with a Um (The casting is best for PvP) Use CoH or +2 Skill armor for casting ES
Crafted +2 Light Sorc skills 18+ FCR High Res(Possibly STR bonus) Ammy
(These amulets cost a hefty bit and I luckily made a 18 FCR with godly mods including 16 STR and high high resists -the poisen which blows much)
War Travlers boots or Treks for STR and Vita*(Vita is needed)
Arach belt(Obviouslly for skills and cast rate)
2x SOJ for casting ES (If you want fast PvP you also want to use 10FCR rings w/ mods)
Warspear staff (The best energy shield sorc staff in the game, mods are: +3 Sorc skills +3 teleport +3 Telekenisis +3 Energy Shield, it's best to use for ES sorcs)
Perfect Monarch Spirit and P Eschuta(Sorry about spelling) 5/5 Die light (PvP Only, ES w/ Warspear)
9x Light GCs (Pref FHR mods, or life mods)
Vita/Res SCs or plain 20 Vitas x10
Sorc 20/20 Torch which would be godly
Nice Anni enough to cover stats and Res won't be too bad at this point
This is the most needed for PvP in magic duels, you need an Infinity so you can use Cyclone Armor which happens to absorb damage, Mostly Magic, covering that weakness to magic damage, now you're nearly godly enough to Duel greatly.
Tip: The only things to be aware of in ES Light Sorc duels is a good 200FCR FBer or telelocking PvP Sorc w/ Blizz and high damage skills. Barbs can sometimes tank through your lightning which comes around 17K easy if you build right which is VERY high for ES Light, it is possible to get to 20K in this setup without max lightning skills.
With torch, the damage can be higher then 20K I assume, I never had a +3 skills torch when I originally did this, nor the bonus stats
Stats are best with Enough Strength to use gear, check over with a calculator.
Back when I did this build there were no Torches, meaning new and easier methods on ES builds are a lot easier and A LOT better.
If you build right, no dex is required as you get it from gear
Vitality: If you want go to 100 for nice life
All points mainly need to be in Energy: Energy is your life! The more energy you can get and the more goes in the better:
Use SOJs if you want a Giant mana bar, Add frostburns for another 25% bonus

I'm also adding a guide to building the best PvP / PvM Melee Light Sorc guide you can think of, and it's a near same build as ES, just the gear, stats, it goes a lot differently for this melee GOD, I was even able to use my ES Light sorc to make a 70K+ Melee Sorc w/ BP AS and dealing 70K per hit 10 hits+ A seconds, it's really nice
