In my experience it does not improve your drops. But i still do just in case, why not? and the best forges ive ever had (I know the highest rune that can drop from forge is gul... but this happened) when i was getting rushed a ber droped maybe form monster idk i didnt take it. and once when i was rushing a sur droped, some time later that week a Ohm droped. I was a happy camper ^_^. Idk if they fell from monsters or what... but i still got a sur and ohm so i really dont care. where they came from lol.
