They are equally undetectable (opening once Diablo II is open or before). There is no memory scan on Diablo II startup for hacks... Why do you think it would be worse to start D2 up after?

Edit: And the only time it is semi-detectable is when it is changing the map. It freezes game\warden to do so so it simply thinks the map was revealed naturally. Keeping Stings open after revealing the act map will not effect anything.
