I freakin love my wolfie. I can do anything i want to with him, i have a flexible stash so i can conform him to do whatever i need. I can set him up with a nigma and some small mf gear (travs, nagels, isted babas) and send him out MFin, and believe me, a barb with a pair of hotos 10k life, 30k defense, and full resis will ALWAYS make it, no matter how bad it lags and no matter how many souls there are. Im really good at doing rushes also. I can throw on the tank gear and help uber.
My Tank Gear is:
Armor: Sacred Armor Fort
Helm: 3/6/6/5 Wolfie with a 15ias +62defense jewel
Weapon: Fort Zerker
Shield: Phoenix Aegis
Switch: 2x Low Hotos (low ones are cheaper and i dont need resists, i use these to tele out when stuff gets bad, plus the +3 skills adds to wolf when u transform)
Gloves: Soul Drainers
Boots: Up'd Gores
Belt: Perf Verdungo's
Ring 1: Raven Frost
Ring 2: Natures Peace
Amulet: +2 Barb Skill +92Life
When im tanking im looking at 40k defense 13k life and about 5k damage. Then you can start adding auras from the pallys. Personally i dont think characters can get any tougher than what these guys are. Uber life, Uber Defense, and enough damage to be a pretty fast killer. Wolfies are without a doubt my favorite PvM melee char.
Merc is act 2 might, Hes got an eth ca obedience, eth veil of steel, and eth fort. He usually kills andy, duri, meph, and baal so i can put on isted babas.
In the stash i got 2x20 str rings 27 str ammy, perf gheeds, about 80% worth of 5-7 mfscs, babas, 20/19 torch. No anni or gcs yet.
If one were to build one of these guys for melee dueling i would probably use the same setup as the tank guide but sub in a grief phase blade.
