I have played War Rock, it's actually a pretty nice online FPS (note: online only). As said earlier, it is kind of like a Battlefield game; you first select your profession (Engineer, Medic, Scout, Combatant) and just go out there and kill. If you get killed, you can always pick a different profession. There are a bunch of different vehicles you can drive in, such as tanks, hummers, bikes, planes, and helicopters.
After making an account and joining games and killing people, you can gain ranks (thus the equivalent of levels) and you also get cash throughout the game, which you can spend at a shop to get better weapons for an XX amount of time (ie to have a weapon for 3 days may cost you $500, to have it for 5 days could cost $850, etc). Weapons are your typical army-type weapons.
The graphics are nice for a free game. You can check out some screenies here: Official War Rock Website -- Screenshots.

From that Wikipedia list, I have also played F.E.A.R. Combat with friends at a LAN party, and that is also one sweet FPS. I don't know your specs, but that one might require a decent computer (and just tone down detail and such in the game if it is too laggy). I recommend that one as well.

At a different LAN party, I have also played Tribes and I thought it was a decent game. While of course not having superior graphics, the jetpack sure adds to the gameplay, and the weapon systems are pretty sweet. One thing I had a problem with was getting the controls down, but it wasn't too bad that the game was unplayable. You may want to take a look at them before you play, though.
