I don't live in Estonia, in fact I hardly ever go there any more, which is a shame. Haven't been home for months and it doesn't look like I'll have time to go in the near future. 478 thousand is still bigger than Tallinn, our capital, which I think is ~450k. Estonia has nothing to do with Russia. We have a completely different language (in fact, English is more related to Russian than Estonian is), culture, lifestyle, etc. We only get associated because of the Soviet occupation, but oh well, that's a thing of the past now.
Funny that you went to St. Petersburg. About a 100 years ago, my family used to have a massive mansion in St. Petersburg (one of my great-grandparents is of Baltic German noble descent), but it got confiscated by the Russian government during the October revolution. Nowadays, it's the French Consulate in St. Petersburg.
Yeah, we didn't stay long, maybe a week or so. I am a hereditary member of the Knights Templars and we had to go there for my Titeling and to get my certification papers. It was cool as hell, they gave my a handmade sword, and after so many years in the Order, I get my name and title engraved on it. I had to leave it at home though because we aren't allowed weapons of any sort in the housing quarters here, but I will take pictures of it when I go back home. I know how it feels to be dispelled from a heretical home, in a sense. Templehof is a small place in Germany where the Knights Templars held many meetings and conventions. It was taken from them and given to the Knights of St. John. I would have had my titling there if it were still a Templar land mark. confused:
