We've seen (and continue to see) loads of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King questions up on the WoW Forums, proving just how curious players are about the upcoming expansion. Today's WotLK update is all about world PvP, Lake Wintergrasp, and honor points.
It all started when forums member Bunnyduck posted a thread about limiting flying mounts in Northrend, since according to the OP, allowing flying mounts might ruin world PvP. Blizzard poster Bornakk came in and brought up Lake Wintergrasp, an outdoor PvP area positioned smack in the middle of several other zones in Northrend. Players asked whether the zone will turn out like Halaa, and Bornakk replied:
Based on the information we already know, I think it will be more active than Halaa because one of the things that hurt Halaa was the Diminishing Returns on honor points. With this removed in patch 2.4 people will be able to continue piling up honor points until they've had enough. I know rewards play a huge factor, so with the knowledge that people have now of items we've made available through honor points, I think it will continue to be a busy place for a long time.
There you have it folks. It looks like we'll have something to look forward to in Lake Wintergrasp. We'll keep you posted on more news regarding this one so stay tuned.
