World of Warcraft: PTR Druid Helm bug explained

Druids on the World of Warcraft Public Test Realm have been complaining about a bug which makes their characters go bald (as shown in the screenshot on the right) when they put on the Season 3 Helm. Blizzard QA Hortus addressed this issues on the official World of Warcraft Forums.

Hortus pointed out that the graphic issue with the helm is not a bug but intended. He said that it was a bug fix to prevent clipping of hair through the front of the helmet. The problem is seems stems from the fact that they cannot turn off an avatar's hair.

So where does this leave players who are experiencing the hair problem? Well, Hortus suggested turning off the helmet in the options menu if a player's avatar does not look appropriate with the helmet.
