insight: good for casters, waste of merc for necros. necros do not use that much mana. now, maybe you need it since you are probably spending about 40 mana every time you do CE, but for a normal necro you are much better off getting pride or just a weapon that does high damage.
First of all.... CE is amazing. It's not a "slight" range increase per level.
My amp damage is 9 yards. That's enough to curse an entire ROOM of monsters.
My corpse explode is 12 yards.
So guess what that means? Yep. As soon as 1-2 corpses are available - EVERYTHING dies.
That is also why Insight is a good choice for a merc. Corpse explode takes up a lot of mana. Also if you have an enigma you will have infinite teleport with meditation aura.
So basically.
Necro + beast wep + nigma + insight on merc = unstoppable deity.

Bone armor is just to look pretty imo. Your skels save you from damage..
in hell, your bone armor is gonna be stripped right off you in 1-2 hits.
