Does It Happen? Has it Ever?

The only dupe I've ever figured out(myself) and used was the waypoint dupe back in 1.09(or was it 8?) The only program it required was a packsender(I used d2hackit at the time) and the method was fairly simple, you would start a trade on the waypoint making sure to have all the items you want duped in your inventory. One person would send the waypoint packet (I used Catacombs in act 1), this would cause the trade to close for that one person. Said person would then drop all his items on the floor and the other person(who would still be in trade) would cancel the trade, this would cause all the items to refresh back on the players body while still remaining on the floor.

This was only a temp dupe and I had to open a trade every game so the items wouldn't disappear, I never figured out how to "perm" an item.

I would assume other dupe methods either require packets or lag. I can however see someone using a program to automate this whole process. In this particular example, the program could automatically send the waypoint packet, then send the packets to remove every item from your inventory. It could then send a ingame message stating "CANCEL TRADE NOW". For me a program like this would be pointless since I can do it all within d2hackit, but for an unexperienced individual I could see that being useful.

So that said, it is possible to use a program to automate duping, is there(or has their ever been) a legimate one out there? I haven't used one myself but I'm sure there has been.
