as you see, with your magic find going up, your unique increase amount diminishes...
and as you will find with super high mf... your BLUE (MAGIC) find will far overbear your unique find...thus you drop alot more blue and end up doing alot of runs in return... now lets look at 600% mf... 600% will yeald approximately 3 - 1 getting blue drops versus getting uniques..>*(keep in mind that the uniques can be from 4%manald ring to tyraels...
now take the MF hungry guy that puts all this into mf... and manages to gain that 1500mf lvl (prolly have to be hacked for that high) ... he will have a 5-1 blue drop% vs the 3-1 blue drop at 600% mf, now comparing the two you automatically think well 600% will have better chance at dropping such as a unique sacred armor, however there is another aspect not covered in this chart. The higher your mf gets, the higher chance to drop an elite item. there for your higher mf will drop more elite class weapons/armor ect, however alot of them will end up being such as sacred armor of self repair or such... at 600mf.. chances of finding sacred armor is lower...but when you do, there is more chance it will be unique instead of magic... so in turn they both will even themselves out... and over all...the higher the mf you can safely and quickly run with... the better off you are, however a 2-3% mf difference at 1000mf will not make enough difference even to be seen by a computer.
this is info i pulled up from diabloii.net, it seems to almost fall inline as i do notice the higher my mf gets... the more blue i see falling all over... and I also see an increase in elite class drop's. but i agree, i like mf to be about 600 range..thats when it seems i find the best stuff and still able to kill fast and have some decent resists to go with it.
I dont agree with the part where you say that you can only achive 1500 mf with a Hero Editor ... I have 1200 mf on b.net ladder closed and all i need is a 4 socket shield with 4x Ist Runes and a few more charms to get 1500 mf!!! The only reason I ever die is because of lag.
My lowest resist is Poison and it is 20!!! ^_^
