well, i think logically that hell has the best items, but for things like sojs (nm andy) or whatever u can do nm. mayb the fact that it may be quicker to do nm runs, so u can do more in a set number of time has a factor in it, like mayb u can find more stuff by doing i'll just say 45 nm baal runs in an hour rather than 30 hell baal runs (time may be off there, don't know the average time they take). also some of the mid-level items may be more useful to people than the high powered items u can find in hell. perhaps those people who say different things are making new characters, and they want stuff that they can actually wear at their lower levels. many factors combine to adjust peoples moods towards stating that they'd rather mf in nm than hell, that's all i can say for you.

as for mfing in nm, i guess baal would find the best stuff, but perhaps other runs may be quicker and u can do more of them in an amount of time, just like i said before. pindle would certainly be very quick, but his drop rate (of something good) is not that high. i guess i may say do andy if u are looking for perhaps some of the lower rings, and meph seems to have pretty nice drops, and if u want u can do baal. just remember that there is a certain random factor thrown in mf and finding items overall, so it seems that it's all luck finding stuff.good luck.
