Martineau became curious after having stumbled upon Alonsus, the non-transfer PVE realm listed in Blizzard's paid character site. If Blizzard can do that for PVE players, Martineau reasoned, why not have a new realm for PVP fans as well?
Some of the other World of Warcraft forum members said it was unlikely that Blizzard would do so, given the low population of of the existing PVP realms. The final word, however, came straight from the mouth of Blizzard blue poster Bornakk: "We don't have any current plans to release a new PvE or PvP realm, Alonsus or otherwise."
Bornakk also cleared up the Alonsus issue saying that: "We have the names for realms that are not active and this is one of them so we are working on removing it from the Paid Character Transfer list. Sorry for any confusion."
Then again, things may change in the future, depending on how big the WoW PVP population becomes. Until then, Martineau and other PVP hopefuls will have to make the best of the current situation.
