such a waste go too blizzhackers.com if you cant find the armor and rune words here... if i remember correctly no matter what armor you make enigma in it isnt gonna change mabye the def and level requirment but thats about it varies on the item.

Wow there's much unneeded conversation about this. There have been a few answers but they seem to have been ignored so I'll give you the lowdown:
-If you want to make a godly character eg. Sorc, Hurricane Druid or Bone Necromancer etc. (there are a few more) you will use breast plate as then you don't have to put any points into strength, allowing for all your points to be put into life, dex whatever.
-If you are making a character like a Barb or Hammerdin something that usually will have high strentgth (pr some strength you will then use dusk.
Well When it really comes down to it, it's your choice and it all depends on what you want to use it for.

Oh and also, it DOES matter what you put your enigma in because I saw one unlucky person who had it in Sacred armor which needs 232 for those who don't know which makes it utterly wothless. Wire fleece is also pretty stupid because it needs more strength than dusk and doesn't really have much more defence so your just wasting runes.

bp for caster, so u can use base str, but i'd use arch plate.

i like breast plate enigma for that fact that u can have a crap load of life and still have a decent defense armor of around 800.. lets you get enough vit to take a beating and not die.

Looks mean nothing. If you use it in trade it is much less popular in many people and they would rather have a dusk or breast plate so I think putting it in a wire fleece is pretty stupid.

i don't know i don't think looks matter all i care about is the strength when i make enigmas...but ohwell i guess some people think the looks of it are going to make it better.

Dusk Shroud would be the best idea but u gotta choose on ur own
