The original Call of Duty for PC is the best FPS in existence.
- Good AI
- Great cinematics
- Involved story
- Intelligent team-mates
- Intense (non-boring) missions
- Great graphics
- Great effects
- Great sound effects
- Great multi-play

lol this is a console fps so obviously pc call of duty is not on here

You missed the only real option for best FPS,

1. Half-Life 2
2. Counter-Strike: Source
3. Counter-Strike 1.6
4. Quake 3 Team Arena
5. Quake 3 Arena
6. Quake 3
7. Quake 2
8. Quake

The list goes on, but.. nope.. dont see Halo 2. Halo 2 blows. Its not a game into itself its more of an expansion pack for Halo 1.

Swap out #6 with Renegade. Reasons:
#6 isn't a real game.
Renegade, although somewhat laggy, made up for the lagginess with a helluva lot more fun than quake 2 and lower.
