Bone nec with marrowwalk is a good dueler. The rest of the equip is easy to figure out.

I prefer sorc...but that's just me. Necro is a better all-around dueler, but I prefer blizz sorc because...I dunno. They are about just as competent dueler, you won't regret making one. If your blizz can kill people in 1 hit, they are probably better than a necro that takes 2-3 hits.

Note that the cold sorc gear is more flexible, like the fathom can be switched to a hoto, occy, etc... and the Night wings into shako, kiras, etc, and the arach's can be gloom's, snow clash, armor can be coh as well as the bliz ormus as mentioned above.

I would not suggest since FHR for a bliz sorc is hardly a problem. Use marrow walks for more mana regen, or silk weave for more mana.

SS on a sorc is not much helpful, especially on a blizzard sorc. You are most able to 1 hit kill almost anything if you have good cold mastery, so blocking shouldn't be a problem. Only builds that CAN pose a problem are wind druids, bone necro and ww assassin, and SS only works on the assassin. This is where your cold mastery comes in. It pretty much kills off their fade. Just cast blizzard on yourself and they will end up whirling right into it.

Look for fast cast on mainly Lidless and splendor.

You can't really say that they "don't need" block, more like they have seldom use of block. Good to keep a good blocking percentage when fightning against ww barbarians and assassins, for example.

Agreed. Without block a WW barb will twirl his way over to you (eventually..being you'll prolly decrepify and run) and you'll be smashed into oblivion. And necro is a better choice. BS has homing and decrepify will keep them from running away from it as fast, it's magic damage, it's insanely powerful, you can bone wall to protect yourself from a lot of shit, like a zerker or some other melee fighter. An FOH pally with enigma can put a hurting on you, though, if you're a bone necro...or much of anything else. :\ Them's mean, too. But no real PvM value there.

Another good way to kill off ww'ers is to bone prison or bone wall your surrounding area, then IM your enemy when they get close, and remember to keep your golem close to them. If they hit the golem or bone wall/prison, they will end up hitting themselves.

IM doesn't seem to bounce as much damage as it could... and a good boner doesn't put that many skills into IM because doing so would take away from bone skills that up other bone skills stats.. and the extras are good for decrepify, like I said, because it slows the opponent down so that they can't chase you and they can't run from your slow moving BSs. AND, barbs can WW right the hell through a bone prison, so ur fuct either way. AND they don't die until after the WW is over. They might get killed but they'll kill you, too.

All that's needed is one point. I always keep my necromancers to be able to use Lower Resist and its prerequisites. It helps a lot when fighting and team baaling. It is very important to make use of your curses well, like for example, terror when clearing a TP, or Decreptify on Soul Killers, etc...

Umm..How can you max cold mastery? That's 5 skills to max, i usually only max 4, i only lvl my characters till 80 usually

well, if you get to 80, you should have 92 skill points i believe... that should get you a few cold mastery at least~

I would go with the necromancer for the simple fact that they can't be absorbed while a blizzard sorc can. Therfore they do better in MOST duels.

blizz cant be absorbed. its one of the legendary attacks that cant be aside from magic dmg. blizz sorces will kill bone necros usually because bonespirits are slow. teeth and spear might be a different story.

Actually, Bliz CAN be absorbed... I run around with my Bone nec with 2x raven frosts killing Bliz sorcs all the time.
