About cheating on closed realms, this quote from a post in the Amazon Basin sums up my thoughts perfectly.
Doing ANYTHING else has a chance of GREATLY PISSING PEOPLE OFF and there are FAR more ammusing ways to piss people off then cheating at D2.
<sarcasm>One of the easiest ways is throwing rocks at strangers...(from a car, so they can't beat the shit out of you.... or just water balloons if you are afraid of hurting them...</sarcasm>
Quote:"Sure, as long as it has zero effects on the others who don't think it needs a little "touch up". I.e. not trading the items you've found while maphacking and botting, not trading stuff you or someone else has duped, etc. Not with legit players, that is. You have to respect the ways people want to play the game, and not enforce your playing style in an egoistical way. Not saying you are, just saying what I think one should do.
Actually, open bnet suits well for that kinda stuff since there are a lot of hackers you can play with there.
You can also play a d2 mod if you want it to be a lot different. Those will make the game even more different than playing it with a bunch of hacks." -Jugalator
