e-shield build help

Hi, i'm not a noob, but i've never made an energy shield pvp sorc build. I need to know how much on vit and how much on energy if i'm making energy. My first sorc was orb, and i made her not energy shield, and i couldn't take many hits and didn't fare well vs. other sorcs with energy shield. Its a blizz sorc.

dude when making a sorc just put 1 point into energy shield. the + to skills will make it good enough

Err... right, very helpful. He wants to try something new, not play with a usual cookie-cutter sorc build.

what i was saying is he could fix his first sorc by just putting one point into energy shield

My opinion is max your max Frozen Orb, Cold Mastery, Ice Bolt, Telekinesis.
Put 10 points in Energy Shield and the rest in Warmth.
Use 2 SoJ`s to boost your mana and Sandstorm Trek to have some poison resistance since poison is the only thing who aint affected by the shield.
Strenght: Enough to wear eqipment
Dex: 0, cause you`re not planning on getting hit
Vitality: 100
Energy: Rest

If you have not tryed this, then dont complain cause you dont know better.

-Forgot to say: In PvP, Mana burn dont exist.

Anyone knows that if u wanna actually make a char you ALWAYS have 75% block because u can have AA and God mode, No matter what your gonna get hit. You cant tell me that a hammerdin or a Foh'r cant hit you? if u think that you needa relearn to play. I have made 5x energy shield sorcs and i got sick of em because they couldn't get killed but they always did get hit. dont get me wrong ur build is kinda good but you need know more about makin chars. if u make a energy shield and u can afford things like me or other ppl everyone knows if u want a godly energy shield sorc ur gonna need 15/70's.

I will post tomorrow about more good news on character builds.

u can go 1 or two ways.
way 1: fill all vit and 150 or less energy
way 2: fill an energy and 150 vit

btw a 70/15 is 70 mana 15 life i think

I think E sheild is overrated because if u get hit energy shield absorbs it but u are outta mana so u cant tele away or attck so ur are still dead.

But in this case you have much more mana than ussually and you surly have plenty of mana renegation from warmth and other skills.

This brings us to the whole mana regeneration cycle... :p

And this is not about if energy shield is overrated or not, so get back on topic. We're looking for energy shield builds, not ways to minimize skill point use on energy shield...


Anyways, here's a build for energy sorc...

Max Energy Shield
Max Telekinesis
Max Frozen Orb
Max Ice Bolt
Max Cold Mastery

How's that? You have fully utilized the orb build, while still having an awesome energy build.
