Chat gem? WTF is it for?

Yes actually it does you have to hit it fast and a lot so dont say it doesnt because i have done it

i just tried it, i couldent get it to say anything
so i did this:
took a mini-vice not those ones bolted down just a small one
i took a spoon
and i used the mini-vice to hold my mouse to the desk
i took the spoon and moved it back and forth very fast on and off the button
even after trying this i still got no message

It does nothing, It entertains noobs while they press it 1009090989 times to try and get it to say "perfect gem activated" Which it doesn't do.

I've done it, as have others.. and there's a lot of screenshots of it in circulation.

hmm....when i first started playin d2 online, which was around july of this year, a friend of mine was helpin me out and stuff, and earlier had emailed me mousepad's maphack...i remember one day she told me never to click that chat gem cuz it would detect mh....but that's just what she said....hrugs: o well =)

nah i don't detect mh, i activate it heaps of times but no ban yet, and it doesn't do nethig for mf i tried, 1.9k runs and not even one tals arm!

It doesn't do anything for MF, drops are random and always will be.

As I said it sends absolutely nothing to Bnet's servers.

Well this goes without saying despite the fact that's it's all ready been said about fifty billion too many times, and probably 3-4 times in this thread alone but..

I've used it as an hour or so of mindless amusement myself before.

Whether this is true or no, I couldn't say, but I asked somebody in the bnet support channel, and they told me as of now, it does nothing. Originally, it was going to be used for some kind of trade feature, but they never went ahead with it. It's just a fun little toy to make forums fill with questions about it.
