About to make a concentrate barb

Irrational...You think just because your hitting with a weapon you are melee. That is not the case. As I said before, Charged Strike is not melee. Hey, I'm hitting you with my weapon but it has no attack rating. Guess what, you swing your weapon. You twirl it over and you can't take any damage while in you are whirlwinding. You do take a lil damage afterwards though. U stand still and you die fast, you whirlwind and not only do you take less damage, it becomes extremely difficult to successfully hit when you run away and then whirlwind over them again. ONCE AGAIN, I made this board for strategies on a CONCENTRATE BARB, not opinions on whirlwind melee or not and whirlwind vs concentrate.

I didn't say that I can't beat it because i can easily. They ww, I smite, it's that simple. I have a counter for it but I would like to have a fair duel. If you haven't noticed, it isn't that easy to hit some when they keep running away only to attack you again.

Ok...true it does physical damage and it also has ar. Whirlwinding is this, you click on them and you whirlwind over, run away only to whirlwind again. Therefore, it is kind of difficult to actually get a hit on them. Concentrate barbs stand there and can actually take a hit from someone. Whirlwind barbs run away. How's that melee?

whats your counter? oh yeah smite.... powerful powerful smite.... i can take 4 smiters at once with my barb using ww.... i seriously doubt its power... as for charged strike.... hmm since it has no attack rating its not melee. your still holding a javalin and stabbing someone with it.. maybe if u threw the javalin it would be ranged.. but its not ranged

....melee is when you hold a weapon and hit somebody or somthing. CS is melee because you hold it and hit them

You seriously doubt smite's power huh? Maybe you aren't facing ever good smiters. LOL. I can kill any whirlwind barb with smite. Not that hard.

If all you concider melee is being "hitting someone with an object" you are very very wrong. How is charged strike melee? Huh? Unless you have lots of absorb, a charge strike zon will one hit you EVERY TIME. They do godly damage and have no attack rating..meaning you hit every time. Do you have any idea what zealots would be like if they had no attack rating. I'm sorry but no matter how good you are, you are not gonna hit the person every time. Charged strike is the cheapest move. It is too good to be melee. Write back and explain to me how charged strike is melee and tell me "you use a weapon, so it's melee." You guys need to do your research before you argue. Seriously.

how about this for an arguement..... my barb is player vs caster and he can kill cs zons that use perf eth upped titans.....ww owns smite and cs

WW requires AR and is phys damage so it IS melee. Just to see your argument, what do you define as melee?

I guess it's really about your personal opinion. Here's mine.

WW requires high mana. Zeal, smite, concentrate, etc. DON'T. So I think that seperates WW from the rest of those since melee characters should not need mana - or mana pots. WW'ers are like casters, except whacking stuff.

To me, melee is this: A low mana cost attack that contains 1 hit or consecutive hits and the animation is quite like a normal attack.

Since when does mana come into play? and your definition of melee sucks. it could take 600 mana but if it is sword to skin its melee

So WW is "magic" cause its expensive, and Guided Arrow is melee cause its cheap.

Charged strike is melee.
You need ATR to use the jab from the javelin, but the bolt you release is magic.
Non attack in the game is cheap, exept the bugged ones.

WW is as melee as you get it.
You need ATR to hit.
You need to be close to the target to hit.
The reason you need alot of mana is because it a good lvl.30 skill.
You swing your weapon to all your sides and try to hit anything in your way....

Anyway, enough off topic.

I still think Consentrate suck, and vs iron maiden your dead anyway.
