Going CRAZY! Hero Editor 0.7 doesn't work!!!

I just can't get Hero Editor 0.7 to work or even to install. Can someone help me please? I don't understand that much about it, but I think there's some VB-misfunction. Check out the images below.

i'm not really sure what to say about that error, and I haven't seen it really anywhere on the forums either. Hopefullly zonfire99 will see your post and have some ideas. heh.

Of course, try to reinstall...if that doesn't work, maybe if you download those evil 6 files that everyone was having problems with and trying to install those. There is a link to those somewhere around here.

1st thing i can think of is starting windows in Safe mode and installing the Editor then.

You need to go to http://www.nightshiver.com and click Diablo at the top. Then go to eric j win's site (its a link on the left). When you click it, click continue and download Zonfire's Editor V0.71. You might also have to get the download just under that one called Zonfire's Editor Required files installer. When you get them, try to run the editor. If it still doesn't work, go to http://www.download.com and search for Visual Basic. Download and install it. :confused: If this still doesn't work...Email me at [email protected]

for some reason when you have VB installed on your pc it will automatically trigger windows installer either when you run certain programs or as soon as you try to open up VB.the only thing i know you can do is unistall VB and install the bot because theres no way really to get around the windows installer.then reinstall VB.ill keep an eye on this post.cya

Download Hero Editor v8 from http://www.d2sector.net/downloads/pafiledb.php its a full install. Post if it has the same probs for you!

I haven't been noticed any changes between .71 and .80, is there anything I should be told about. I don't like suprises :mad:

It mentions that 7 socketed items are now supported... but they were in .71, unless I missed something ¿?¿?¿ Or does that specifically refer to weapons/armor/swords? I never had any trouble getting amulets and rings to seven.

I'm gonna go tinker with it somemore. But, If something unexpectedly bad happens before I get warning... I'll have to... um...
... well... I'll just be mad, OK?
