Would go for a better video card.. I.E Radeon. and a better Motherboard. MSI are shit!!!
#3
i dont want to spend that much im looking for like 500-600 range the card is fine its got great benchmarks. also working around the socket of the AMD for the mobo. the mobo needs to be agp8x, ddr, and 754 socket combatable. if i have extra money to spend ill go with a asus or somthing.
about the graphic card. check these benchmarks
http://www20.graphics.tomshardware.com/g...00-10.html
thats for farcry on MAX quality.
#4
The Epox mobo isnt all that dear. I've built two AMD64 comps with them this month and seem pretty good so far.
#5
ya, that mobo i linked is my last resort. if i have extra cash ill get a better mobo.
#6
I'm still waiting to see if I can get what I wanted...

Edit: bah, links are on the other computer.. but all newegg shit.
#7
go with the MSI board over the Epox for godsakes!

I would fork out the extra $100 for a 939 proc and mobo but hay its your funeral...i mean computer.

that graphics card is KICK F'ING A$$ FOR THE PRICE!

the mid range radeon BLOW! You guys dont read enough reviews if you think that the mid range Nvidia is crap compared to the mid range radeon.

If you plan to actually OC your comp your deffinetly heading in the right direction. But 754 is dead as a door nail. They have stopped making proc for that socket as far as I know. Also if you want to be "pimp" and be cheap get a 939 2800moblie (about 250-300 together) and that ram you have and a nice after factory heatsink and fan and OC the babe to 3000 speeds.

heatsink is about 30-50.

same processor as mine, but here's the closest vid card to what i got http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDes...217&depa=1

doesnt seem that good, but i havnt played a game yet that it couldnt handle maxed, or near maxed, without lag (newer games too, Doom 3, HL2, Chronicles of R i d d i c k, etc.)
