barb weapon

okay, in GENERAL what type of weapon would be the best to use? I'm not rich, and can probably not afford alot, so I just need a little info here. And for the item you choose, could you please add which mastery that would be fore. And please keep in mind, this is not for LoD.

vit 300
dex 155
mana base

would that be about right ?

i think an executioner sword superior then imbue it from charsi to make it rare, works nice.. thats sword mastery

hmm i'd say cheap good swords would have to be doombringer or flamebellow but lookin at your barbs strength you cant use most of the swords... i would have to go with blood letter adds alot to skills

swords? I see a lot of people using some sort of maul. so right now i'm torn between using a sword, or a maul. and what type of mastery are mauls? those stats i g ot up there

is not what i have, those are what i got from a character build guide. should my barb have more strength? and more mana? cause i want him to use whilrwind. and some war shouts.

You can use something with mana leech, I think a manald can do that.. Aren't manald's on D2 classic? Anyway, and for every point of strength you have, you get another 1% to your damage, whether to use a maul or sword is up to you, personally I like swords because of the natural speed and longivity of it, but the mauls tend to get more damage. So, with that said, it's up to you pal, and you might wanna put more points into strength considering you probably got that build off of a D2 expansion build.

b) lance ?

Do lance. My s/s barb gets owned by my own lance barb(both WW)... see if you get really good with a lance you can attack at the right spot, that s/s barbs cant reach even though they actually block you can usually 2 hit k.o them.

P.s. My s/s barb doesnt suck, make a lance ww barb and get good at the length it and your see.

75% block(two stormshields-one with with 40/15 max(melee) one with shael(like bowazons)) tested with both

dmg like 3k-6k avg about 4.6k
and just south of 6010 i think like 6008 on s/s

dmg like 2k-10k avg 5k(but note i can sometimes 1 WW my s/s by getting a good hit)
s/s barbs are easy if you get good at it
as you can see lances have a huge range in ww
just ww to hit them with tip of your lance and it will be out of the s/s barbs range.

And its funny.....really Lance WW barbs are one of the most underestimated classes. I started out makeing him for fun then i was like "omg with this crap equipment i can almost beat my s/s barb." I gave him good equipment and i found out that they are very good. Anyone know why ppl stopped makeing lance WW barbs?
