Well..I still say the whole idea of having d2sector have a chat room is crap. people seem to only want one so they dont have to pm people on the boards and all I can think is that they are completely retarded and unable to use an instant messenger service. There is NO reason WHY d2sector should have a chat room...NONE WHAT SO EVER! I have not heard a SINGLE convincing argument as to why d2sector should have one. If someone can give me one good reason beyond "Then I dont have to pm people and wait for a reply" or "Then people could get questions answered right away and it would be a great place to set up tourny's and duel's..." blah blah blah if people miss a tourny cause d2sector doesnt have a chat room then they obviously dont check the forums often enough.


So again all I need is 1 yes 1 GOOD reason why d2sector should have a chatroom/service/waste of time and I will support it, or just shut up one of two I haven't decided on which yet.

a chat would be nice to have. i wasnt around to use the old one i think it was summer and i wasnt on as much OR i didnt even know it existed. i forget who said it but if we promote it enough then it will be big and will save this forums.

this forum is going to hell. the spam posts increase bye the week. a chat will give spammers a place to waste their finger muscles.

WHY do ALOT MORE people use it than an IM?
I dont even want to download AIM or yahoo or whatever.

I asked for a good reason WHY d2sector needs one not your personal opinion on instant messenger's. If your going to reply by quoting me at least attempt an answer. I want logic not bias opinion.

Plus where are the statistics your using to come to the conclusion that more people use IRC than instant messenger services? Link? Just your opinion?

Beyond that an instant messenger service and a chat room hosting service are two completely different things, given using some instant messengers you can create chat rooms but that's not their main function. You could also then say that "whispering" in chat rooms is an instant messenger but again that is not its main intended function.

1.) Back up your statements with facts.

2.) When comparing two things at least compare two things who's basic function is same. In this case you could have compared java based chat rooms and IRC chat rooms. Two things who's basic function is to host chat rooms but methods of doing so differ. But sadly that was not the topic and would have been irrelevent.

So come back when you actually have an arguement and not blabbering bias.
