ES/Orb Sorc

I'm making an ES Whore/Orb Sorc. I was wondering what you guys think; max Ice Bolt or Cold Mastery? Give your answer and justify it.

IMO Cold Mastery is a one point wonder, and you should put 1 in it and let your +skill items bring it up.

First 20 Orb.
Then 20 Cold Mastery, and then you do 20 Ice Bolt.
Ice bolt only adds 2% and 2x20=40.
40% more orb dmg aint as good as cold mastery.
After this you max telekinesis since its the best for energyshield.

Max telekinesis before Energy Shield.
Energy Shield get skill+ from gear wich makes you absorb more in the start.

Exactly! :whip:
Renember to have 1 point into warmth, and since you are cold sorc, you shoud have 1 point into shiver armor also.
Have much mana if you going PvP, 80-90% of the dmg you will take damages mana instead. Renegation is important then.
If you reach FCR breakpoint before you use gloves, then you shoud use frostburn gloves for increase maximum mana%.

Btw, is this a PvP sorc or PvM?

2x SoJ's and proabably Tal Rasha's Amulet

Energy: Rest (Alot of mana for spells and ES. And alot of mana gives mana renegation.)

1 Energy Shield
20 Telekinesis
20 Ice Bolt
Rest into Energy Shield

Gear:
Helm:
Shako socket with Cham
Weapon:
Death Phantom socket with Cold die Facet 5/5 or a resist all juwel.
Shield:
Lidless Wall socketed with Um
Armor:
Upgraded Viper Magi 35% socket with Um (Dont have to be upgraded)
Gloves:
Frostburn
Belt:
Arachnid
Boots:
Silkweave
Amulet:
20% FCR with Cold Skills
Rings:
2x SoJ

You get 110% FCR and the breakepoint is at 105%. Next is at 200%, but you need to sacrifise so much to get it, that its no point.
Fill your inventory with FHR charms untill you reach 86% for 7frames or 142% for 6frames.
You can also fill inventory up with resist all charms if you wish for more resist.

You get very much max mana%:
Lidless = 10%
Frostburn = 40%
Arachnid = 5%
Silkweave = 10%
2x SoJ = 50%
Total = 115%

I don't like yours, and here's why.

I think you have too much vitality, and ES Ormus' is a better choice. Also, Fathom is a waste I think because HotO gives mana (Fathom gives none) AND resists (Fathom gives none).

And by the way, that isn't a guide. It's a build.

As long as you reach 105% FCR, you can build your sorc however you want.
My build there was all about getting FCR and Mana and still do good dmg.
