Holy Freeze freezes the enemies around you about once every 2 seconds. Basically, you'd have to be lucky to flash the aura just when it's about to trigger, and switch back to Fanatisicm. If the opponent engages you before your Holy Freeze does its thing, you're pretty screwed. If your aura does flash properly, chances are that your opponent will move away for a second to thaw before engaging you.

By the way...isn't this thread about SHIELDS? :p

ok the eth rune thing seems kinda pointless since smite is an unblockable attack. but the whole fire thing is a winner if you're godly rich.

Grief PB requires no additional IAS and never needs to be repaired.

BA has slightly higher range, though I rarely notice much difference in the outcomes of duels.

I have no trouble touching (obliterating) BA users with my PB. Range is useful against WW though.

actually holy freeze does damage about every 2 seconds, as long as the aura is equipped then whoever you're dueling is frozen. the effects do not wear off in a coupla seconds unless you have some item that gives "cannot be frozen" or "half freeze duration" and even with half freeze duration it lasts long enough for you to get a few good whacks in. if you use ur hotkeys wisely then this is a very good strategy against classes that run away.

Defensive for pvp melees: glitched Exile Vertex.
Casters: Always uppd' HOZ (socketd with 40/15, um, or any rune that adds maximun resistance)

Kurast and vortex suck. Sacred targe and rondache are better. You don't need the freaking defense on smiters.
